Iris fluva Copper Iris
Rich copper orange flowers top 2-3′ sword like foliage of the Missouri native perennial Copper Iris, Iris fluva. Prefers fertile, slightly acidic, consistently moist to wet soils in full sun to part shade. Does well in wet clay soils. May be grown in up to 6” of standing water. You may grow this iris in containers in water gardens.
Copper Iris is an ideal plant for rain gardens and bogs. It quickly fills in making an excellent long-lived ground cover.
Plant in sun to part shade areas in soil that has been amended with organic mater.
